Chapter 764 - Breaking Down

Scarlet House, Ocien.

Max looked in the mirror as he got dressed to go out for the meeting. But, his thoughts sure were at some place else. He surely didn't think that there would be someone above the limit of the Supreme present in the Ocien from Demon's side.

It sure came as a surprise to him, and the pressure had increased.

Last night, he tried once again to talk to Alina, but it didn't give much of a result. But, Naze had asked him to wait for Belly to arrive. He was confident that as long as Beli backed them up in front of her, she would definitely be convinced.

But, Max wasn't sure if they could really wait till that long.

After all, there was still a bit of time until the start of competitions in Ocien. And, Max also knew that the girl was currently going back to the Demon territory.

As Max left the place, and headed out, he bumped into Preston in the courtyard with Erina. It seemed that he had come to meet with her. It wasn't a surprise, considering there were chances of their engagement.

Max once again sensed hostility in Preston's eyes, but it only lasted for a second before he switched back to his normal gentleman face. It was as if the thing last time didn't happen at all. And, Max had never shown him the door when he requested to join the team.

Erina looked at Max, and gave him a helpless look as Preston turned his back towards her. But, Max didn't seem to notice it. After all, he was shocked by the change in her aura.

If it was not for him seeing her, and feeling her presence through the connection she had with him as his follower, Max would never believe that she really was Erina.

'Her aura is no longer the same…how could there be such a drastic change in such a small time?' Max couldn't understand it at all. But, it was definitely not the result of training. After all, what kind of training gives such fast results?

And, his guesses were partially right as well. The change in Erina was the result of the seal on her body being broken. This has resulted in change in her and allowed her to return to her roots as Crimson.

Max just exchanged a few words with them, and gave Erina a glance before leaving.

It took a little while for Max to reach the place of their meeting.

He was the last one to arrive actually. Everyone was obviously very worried and wanted to know about Rihanna. Hence, they came as fast they could do when Max asked them to.

As soon as Max entered the meeting hall, Synthia who had been seating on her chair stood up with an anxious look on her face, "What happened? Is there any news about Rihanna? Did that Old man find her?"

The rest of them looked at Max with the same question in mind.

Max walked up to the table, and looked at everyone as he shook his head, "No, he couldn't find her."

Everyone's faces sank on hearing that.

"Didn't you say that he was the best option we had?" Synthia asked Max with a frown, "Why did he fail then?"

"It seems those guys have used teleportation formations to send Rihanna far away from this place. There were traces of spatial fluctuation, and even a teleportation formation was discovered by the old man. Aside from that even the people on the site had confessed that a girl was sent through the teleportation formation.." Max informed them.

The expressions on everyone's faces were frozen by now.

Synthia suddenly sat back onto her chair while holding her head. She understood what this meant. Even the rest of the guys knew that there was nothing they could probably do now.

There was no way that they could bring Rihanna back. Hell, they weren't even sure where the Demon Territory was actually located. Much less, go and rescue Rihanna from there. It was almost an impossible task.

They could now only hope that their families could do something.

"I have already sent this information back to you people's families," Max further said as he looked at these guys who had all gone silent.

"What did they say?" Bell asked with a cold look in his eyes. Even the other guys seemed to have a gloomy aura hanging around them for some reason.

"I haven't gotten any response.." Max replied with an odd look on his face.

"Slam!" Synthia slammed her fist onto the table. Her head was hung low, and Max couldn't see her expression with her hair covering her face. "There is no way that they would ever do anything to look for her.."

"We are different. They always looked at us as some kind of abnormality. I am still fine as I am the biological granddaughter of the Lord. But, Rihanna is different. She was adopted because of her extraordinary potential.." Synthia further added, "And, when we came out with our secret, she was the one who had faced the worst among the two of us.."

"Most people didn't even care about her from the very beginning as she was adopted, and now even less.."

It was something very obvious. One of the aims of the Ancient family was also to expand and multiply. This was even more so for people who displayed extraordinary abilities. After all, stronger genes had to be passed down, and yet these two girls were in love with each other. Google seaʀᴄh ɴovel(F)ɪre

Max could understand why those old fogies were losing their mind over it.

"What about the Lord? She doted on Rihanna from what I heard.." Max asked as he looked at them.

"One person can't change anything. Besides, as the Lord she has even a greater responsibility and can't put everyone in danger for one person." Argus shook his head.

"Sniff....Sniff.."

Max's ears were quite strong, and he sure heard someone crying.

He couldn't help, but look at Synthia who was breaking down right now. It sure was a little surprising to him.. She had held onto even when he had beaten the sh*t out of her, but it seemed this was not something she could tolerate.
