Chapter 598: A Storm Brewing

Oven House, Capital.

A while ago…

"This is bad.." James frowned looking at the news of the end of feud between Roxleys and Barnes.

This was something not good for them, the conflicts between humans weren't supposed to be solved. Besides, Roxley's were on Union's side. Them making up with Barnes a Neutral House would mean less dependence on Union for alliance.

Besides, from what he had heard until now, the Lady of Roxley House was not someone easy to deal with. She had apparently thwarted all their plans of getting someone inside and try to gain a informant in the House. But, with her standing like an iron wall, it was impossible.

And, now that she was getting her wish fulfilled. It meant that her powers, and dominance in the family would once again rise. This was bad for them in every possible way. This couldn't be allowed to happen.

It was then that orders had come from higher up. It seemed they were aware of James's plan in Trinity. And, with one of the Elders supporting James, and his brother missing, he was once again given another important task to lead the situation.

This didn't just come without any hard work. He had already shown his talent in Arcane, and earned praises all over.

"We can't let this peace be set in stone at all cost.." James muttered with a frown. This mission was very important for him, and he would be leaving for Trinity within a few hours as well.

If he succeeded in this mission, he would directly be able to replace his brother Werner in the 12 Stars of the Demon Youth.

"We will increase the scope of our plan. We have more people coming as reinforcement after all."

"Tell all of them, I need these three dead at all cost." James said in a calm manner as he looked at his servant, and then threw three pictures on the table.

Two of them were the Lady of the Barnes and Roxley House. Melinda and Lesia respectively. The last picture belonged to Max.

"This guy sure hid himself well, I knew he was different. I should have killed him long before," James stared at Max's picture with a cold look in his eyes. He had finally received the information that Max was closely related to all the Ancient Families.

And, even the fact that he had played a major part in the peace deal between Barnes and Roxleys. This had forced James to think a bit, and the more he did, the more he felt that Max had always been quietly clashing with him all along.

His face had really turned dark at the moment of realization. The fact that he didn't even know if Max had intervened and or had any role in the failure of any of his plans really made him laugh in madness.

Not to mention, Max had even taken away Lisa whom he had his eyes on. To be honest, he was already starting to lose interest in her as there were no signs of awakening that he was asked to look for in her by a certain person.

After returning to Orca, he was given orders to leave her. As the chances of her true awakening were over. James did leave her sight for a time, but it was all to get himself stable in Orca. It was because Werner had given his people a hard time in his absence.

James still had future plans to use Lisa to get into Walker House. But, Max had smashed all of it by taking her away. ᴛhis chapter is ᴜpdated by N(o)v????l(F)ire

But, now it was time for some payback on his end.

"I will put an end to you as well,"

…..

Omen's Mansion, Shine Street, Trinity.

"What are you going to do about the Edwinson Kid? I thought you guys were including him in his plan as well?" Omen asked with a frown.

"He is still going to die, there is no change on that end." The person on the opposite end replied with a calm smile.

"I don't want to mess with him. He has got the support of the Ancient Families, and even has got evidence on me. We will be doomed if things go wrong," Omen said with a grim tone, and his words made the other elders frown. He was speaking facts after all.

"You don't need to worry about that. I will take care of that matter. You people won't need to worry about it." The man tried to reassure them.

Even though it wasn't much of a help, these people could only depend on it for now. They were at a dead end after all.

"Fine, but I will only lend a hand in killing the Lady of Barnes House. The other two will have nothing to do with me. It is entirely your responsibility."

….

Outside the Mansion..

"What's going on?" Caira asked, looking at Max, whose face was turning grim with each passing second.

"Hell is about to break loose it seems," Max muttered with a serious look on his face.

"Let's move.." He further said as the two began to leave, and while doing so he left his clone behind to keep eavesdropping on them. He didn't mind collecting some more information.

"You aren't gonna tell me what's going around?" Caira asked a bit upset, she didn't even got a chance to go inside while Max was just giving her vague answers.

Max shook his head, as he explained the situation to her.

"That's ridiculous, Lady Melinda rules the City. There is no way that they could get to someone like her," Cair shook her head in disbelief.

"That is what worries me the most, just what weakness have they caught of her to have such a confidence in succeeding?" Max frowned thinking about it.

"Her weakness?" Caira muttered as she pondered a bit.

"Her Family.." The two simultaneously said.

"And the weakest link in that family is.." Max said as he looked at Caira, and her face began to turn dark.

"I will go, and have a look I am worried." Caira immediately parted ways with Max.

But, Max was sure that they wouldn't make a move now. Those guys had just gotten together to discuss the about the topic and cooperation. They definitely need a perfect plan along with adequate preparation to execute it.

In that case, he had to be ready to counter to it as well.
