Chapter 368: Lisa Perverted Resolve?

"Is he dead?" Bahamut asked Max who landed who calmly landed beside him.

Max could see blood spilling out from beneath Bahamut's club.

"Lift this thing first…" Max said as pointing at the club and Bahamut lifted it with ease.

The man was stuck on the crater with several fractures all over. He had become a bloody mess honestly.

"Oh...what a tenacious guy. He is still alive. Let me snap his neck." Bahamut said as he moved but Max caught him.

When Bahamut looked at him, Max just shook his head, "It's a waste like this. Let me handle it…"

'Andriel…' Max spoke as he grabbed the man by his head and lifted him up.

The man couldn't move with such serious injuries but it still didn't prevent him from giving Max the murderous glare.

'What do you want to know?' Andriel asked as she shook her hand in preparation.

'Anything useful…' Max replied and the next instant, spirit energy leaked out consuming the man's body.

Bahamut's eyes flashed with a strange light. It was a mix of surprise and curiosity. He had sensed the foreign energy.

The next instant, the man who was giving murderous glare suddenly lost the shine in his eyes and the next instant, his breathing seized.

"Flare!"

Flames suddenly lit up in Max's other hand as he prepared to dispose of the body.

"Wait!"

Bahamut grabbed Max's arm and stared at him as if he was looking at a fool.

"What?"

"Are you crazy? A Master Tier Mage from Dark Society, do you even know how much worth he is….the Association too has a bounty board for these pricks…'' Bahamut said as he snatched the body from Max's hands.

Max looked at him….

This evil kid wouldn't even let the guy be in peace after death. Well he was in not a position to say anything after killing him though.

Max let him have his way.

Bahamut happily grabbed his leg and dragged him along while Max followed behind as they walked towards the group of Mage who had been fighting earlier.

"Here take this as an apology gift from me.'' Bahamut said as he threw the guy towards Zexter, the guy who was surnamed Frost and seemed to be the group leader.

"I didn't intend to get you guys in this mess." Bahamut said with an apologetic smile.

"T-This…." The group was dumbfounded by having a corpse thrown at them.

Even Max didn't expect it.

"That guy should have a bounty on his head. We don't mind if you take the credit and the bounty…." Max replied as he looked at the guy. There must be something about him if the kid was so desperate to rope him in.

Zexter Frost….hmmm….

Max remembered. It wasn't because he was famous but because he was a bit like Lear. No...he was a bit different. Even though Lear acted, he acted like a natural born trash. This guy on the other hand was a hardworking one….he shouldn't have been born a trash. It was a pity that he ended up in Frost House.

As for why Max knew about him, it was because during his search he had deliberately looked for two kinds of people among the younger generation. Geniuses and Trash….

Because he knew that sometimes things weren't as simple as what entered the eye. After all, Max himself was one such person. And his doubts were proven right the very moment he came out and met Lear.

"You don't want it?" Bahamhut asked, a bit surprised since this guy was hesitating.

Max understood what was going on and intervened, "If you are afraid about drawing attention for revenge….then I am sure we can help…"

Bahamut looked at Max in realisation and immediately nodded, "Yes...if that's the case, I will of course help. You can rest assured. I will contact you tomorrow. I will pass you the reward…."

"Thank you...it will be a big help for us. I won't take it for free though. We will still complete the mission we took." Zexter said with a bow doing something a noble would never do. ɴᴇᴡ ɴᴏᴠᴇʟ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀʀᴇ ᴘᴜʙʟɪsʜᴇᴅ ᴏɴ Noᴠelꜰire

"Well then...have a good night.'' Bahamut said as he once again grabbed the body by it's leg and began dragging it.

Max didn't know what to say….

….

Max went to a few more places and beating the sh*t out of a few lesser bunch. But it didn't seem they had to do much.

Twice and Juju had gone on a killing spree especially the centipede. Max heard the lady say how this guy killed people even without them realising it.

"Khukhu!" Juju released a noise as if saying praise me more but Max just gave a nod. This little guy was not an ordinary creature after all. Max had even sent him so that he could take care of things if anything went wrong.

After that Max parted with Bahamut and went to meet with Lear and Lisa.

….

"What in hell happened?" Max asked as he looked at Lear with a black eye.

"The last guy was strong…and he wasn't alone." Lear said with a sigh. If it wasn't for the spirit snake interfering, they would have been in a dire state now.

"I know...you are trying to rush because of the competition. But it won't amount to anything if you die...do you understand?" Max said with a strong tone.

Lear couldn't refute but only nod. It was his fault for giving Max a reason to say so.

"How was it? Are you hurt too?" Max asked as he turned to face Lisa.

"I understand my weakness. I will continue to work hard." Lisa replied as she clenched her fist.

When Lear had gone to fight during the last bout, he made sure to keep Lisa out. She was too weak and hence, she could only see him getting cornered. That definitely didn't feel good.

"Are you hurt?" Max asked again. If he took her back wounded, there was a chance they would find out.

"Umn...it isn't serious." Lisa said as she slightly shifted her cloak. There was a bit of blood around her abdomen. But it was a superficial wound. As for the rest, all were bruises but they were all hidden under her clothes.

"Let's go….we can get that treated and you brought a change of clothes right?" Max asked and Lisa nodded.

Max, Lisa and Lear headed towards a small pharmacy. Bahamut had told him it was run by one of his family men. They could use it for free as long as they brought the token Bahamut had given them.

Of course, they had changed from their mercenary group robe. They didn't want their group to have any relation to a Noble House.

After coming out, they travelled together before Lear parted going towards the Academy while Max brought Lisa to her house.

Her capabilities alone weren't enough to sneak in ad out after all.

"Hold on tight..." Max said with a low voice as he brought Lisa closer planning to fly up to her room on the first floor and used the window. They had used the same method to leave the place earlier.

Lisa immediately brought her arms around Max's neck as if to strangle him. Earlier Max had given her a heart attack when he suddenly flew, with her almost falling from his arms as she didn't hold on properly.

"Why don't you just burrow into me..'' Max turned to look at her with a frown.

Before Lisa could retort, Max felt a mana wave. Someone had just looked over.

Sh*t!

"You two sure are passionate. But don't you think it's not the right time to be going out…."

When the old man's voice rang out, Lisa immediately sprang away from Max. From another person's point of view. It definitely looked like some romanticscene with the girl holding the guy with her arms around his neck...a perfect atmosphere for a kiss... and it seems the old man took it for the same.

"Grandpa it's not like that…." Lisa flustered, her face turning red. She tried to explain but the old man cut her off.

"I don't care.'' He really didn't mind this much. After all, they were already a couple who would marry in the future. The only thing that he didn't want the two of them doing before marriage was….

"I just want to know where the two of you were." The old man said with a high of anger. He couldn't help but think of something bad....

Lisa was immediately terrified. Not for her, but for Max. Even if he was her friend, this was too much. She was afraid his grandpa would do something.

"Don't you dare to lie….I can smell blood. Did you two really do it at this stage?" The old man said as he looked at Max with a complex expression.

Max froze. This old man…..

He obviously understood what the old man meant. But this wasn't that blood...damn...obviously he would never think that these two young people who were acting all love-dovey (according to him) were out there killing people.

'F*ck! Like the hell I did anything with her. This is nothing but misunderstanding!!!' Max screamed in his mind.

When Max tried to take control of the situation, and sort things Lisa took a step forward raising her hands and standing in front of Max.

"Yes, I did it!"

Boom!

Both Max and the old man felt a bomb dropping on their head.
