"Why look so confused? Did you really think I let you live?" Damien said in a mocking tone as he patted Luke's cheeks.

He continued, "I would have let you go only if you had admitted your wrongs and not repeat it again. Because you were all kids with hormonal imbalance issues, it was quite normal to have a fascination for girls. But to think that you wanted to thrash and harass someone just because of that. Who knows, if it even went any further, you wouldn't even hesitate to kill that person just to hug Roy's thighs."

Luke croaked out with wide eyes, "Y-You are—"

Damien tightened his grip around his face, "Shh, don't talk and strain yourself. With all these bandages, aren't you feeling a little too hot? Keep your mouth shut and get comfortable for the last few minutes of your life.

"This world is truly strange. When I first came here, I was surprised that people kill each other for the most trivial reasons. But then I understood that it was because the more powerful ones need not be afraid of any consequences to crush someone inferior to them. Who would question someone for stepping over an ant?"

He went on, "Most of all, forgiveness is a luxury in this world. If you feel being merciful and let someone go, they would only return to bite you back. People like you will repay mercy with sinister deeds instead of gratitude, just like how if I had planned to let you live, one day you might plan some villainous scheme with Roy Clive to hurt Valentina. I can't allow that. If there's even a 1% chance that you are a threat to her, then I wouldn't hesitate to end your measly life."

Luke gulped as he tried to move his body frantically, but because of his heavy injuries, he couldn't even properly circulate his ethereal energy at all. There wasn't even an ounce of strength in his limbs as all his ethereal energy was spent on keeping his body, including his bones, from breaking down.

One could say he was lucky to be still alive.

Damien had inspected his condition the moment he entered the room and knew Luke wouldn't be able to fight back even without his cultivation sealed.

"H-Helppp...somebody…" Luke retched out in despair and fear for his life. He could barely move his limbs to escape from Damien's clutches. He only had enough energy to move his mouth and eyes.

Even though he couldn't understand why Alchemist Azrael was even talking to him about these things in such a fashion, he knew that he was here because of Valentina.

Damien waved his finger, "Shhh, don't be scared. Didn't you hear your mother telling me to end your suffering? Why don't you let me do that for you? But however, I just have to spend at least a few minutes in this bedroom. Otherwise, they would find it strange if I came out within just a minute. Don't worry. Your parents won't think you are dead. In fact, they will shower me with their gratitude though you won't be 'alive' to see it."

Damien sent a wisp of his ethereal energy inside Luke's body and sealed Luke's cultivation so that he can use the Shackles Of Death without any resistance.

Luke wailed desperately, "Noooo, p-please...don't kill me...I won't involve myself...with your disciple...or even Damien."

However, Damien said in an obdurate tone, "Of course not. I promised your mother to make sure that you don't suffer anymore. How can I, the most talented alchemist, go back on my words? Anyway, your current life is worthless without your manhood. You are neither a man nor a woman. It's better you become something else in your next life."

Damien thought that it was time and gritted his teeth...

"Shackles Of Death!"

Luke's eyes widened and felt as if his body was being torn apart slowly from head to toe. He didn't even have the energy to shout, and finally, his eyes went listless.

'Phew, that's 2% of my soul essence. Now, I got 58% of my soul essence left.'

After Damien's recent soul breakthrough, his soul essence rose to 60%, including the soul essence he had slowly rejuvenated throughout the past few weeks. And how he cut off 2% of his soul essence to turn Luke into an undead.

"Well, the first step of my plan is done. Now, time to move on." Damien mumbled to himself as he saw Luke's body healing itself.

Damien removed Luke's bandages with just a snap of his fingers and saw how the wounds and fractures were slowly mending themselves by a mystical force.

Damien was a bit surprised to see that even Luke's squashed family jewels were healing on their own and back to their original state.

"Luna, this death force is truly mysterious. How can it heal so miraculously?" Damien asked Luna mentally. He was always fascinated and amazed how the Death force could bring a dead body back to its original state.

Because of that, it was hard for one to truly kill his undead slaves unless they annihilate their ethereal core or obliterate their body into a million pieces.

She replied in a scholarly manner, "It's the Death force, duh. What else do you expect? It's meant to power the dead, and what's the use if the dead body is broken? Whereas, Life force flows in those who are alive. When you use your Anti-God Arts, you imbue Death force in your victims which acts like Life force but not exactly."

Damien mumbled as he looked at Luke blankly, "I wish I could use this death force to heal the living as well, just in case."

Luna scoffed, "Hmph, then you will literally turn into an unkillable entity, a never-ending nightmare to your enemies. But things can't be that easy for now."

Damien sighed, "Of course, things can't be that convenient."

Within a few minutes, Luke's body completely healed, and it was as if he was never injured in the first place! Not even a single scratch was there on his body.

Luke instantly sprang up and got off the bed to kneel before Damien, "Master."

"Hmm, it's time I tried it." Damien decided to test out something he had tried with Piggy yesterday.

He closed his eyes and focused on his soul plane. He could feel a part of his soul essence in Luke's soul plane. With a thought, he sent a strand of his consciousness to Luke's soul plane.

He felt his senses going blind as if his consciousness was being pulled out from his body to someplace else.

"Huh? This!!" Damien had an expression of disbelief when he opened his eyes to see that he was kneeling on the floor!

He looked at his hands and arms, which looked foreign to him. He touched his face and felt that his features were not at all like his face.

With a stupefied expression, he slowly lifted his head to see that a black-cloaked figure was lying on the bed as if they were dead.

"Luna?"

"Damn, this really works! My consciousness entered Luke's." Damien's heart was beating fast as he was experiencing something he had only seen in science fiction movies.

He called out to Luna but wasn't surprised that he couldn't get any response as Luna was not in Luke's soul plane.

He slowly got up with an expression of disbelief and looked at his own body clad in a black cloak, lying on the bed listlessly.

He poked his own body, lifted his own limbs, and felt as if he was inspecting a dead body. He knew that his body was lying listlessly on the bed because he had sent his consciousness to Luke's soul plane.

"Amazing!" Damien smiled as he felt that he had made another breakthrough in his Shackles Of Death ability.

However, yesterday when he tried the same with Piggy, he wasn't able to enter his consciousness but could only share senses if Piggy was within his spiritual perception range.

Luna said that Piggy's soul plane was too fragile to let his consciousness enter. In other words, Piggy was too dumb or because of its lack of soul cultivation.

He wanted to see if he could transfer his consciousness to his undead human slaves. And fortunately, he found out he could.

But the drawback was that he would fall unconscious if he transfers his consciousness. However, he thought it was a natural drawback. All he needs to be is in a safe location to control his undead slaves within his spiritual perception range.

"Well, it's time I went back to my good old body."
