Chapter 986 “Please don‘t rush.” Jake raised his hand and gestured at the rest to calm down. The

noisy crowd instantly fell silent.

“Winters Corporation is investing in Cloud City, but the exact project is still under discussion. Once the

initial preparation is ready, Winters Corporation will hold a press conference. Please be patient.”

After working with Duke for a long time, Jake had begun to emanate a similar imposing manner.

As soon as he spoke, he managed to suppress the crowd.

The reporters obediently kept their cameras and microphones away. Jake walked down the stairs and

approached Kendry. “Are you Mr. Kendry Willis?” Kendry was flattered. “Yes, I am.” “Mr. Willis wanted

to meet you yesterday, but he didn‘t have the time. Mr. Willis, please follow me,” Jake said respectfully.

When the crowd on the site heard Jake‘s words, they subconsciously went into an uproar. “I heard that

the Willis family offended Winters Corporation from Sea City. Looks like it‘s true.”

“The CEO of Willis Corporation is already in jail. It‘s the Coo‘s turn now.”

“The Willis family is a big family in Cloud City too, but even they are insignificant and low before the

assistant of Winters Corporation.”

“Winters Corporation is a big corporation that ranks first globally. The Willis family is nothing.” “The

Willis family is doomed.” “The one who holds the power in Cloud City will change.” The surrounding

people‘s words made Kendry‘s face unknowingly turn pale.

He turned around and said in a deep voice, “The two of you should go back first. I‘ll go inside.” “Dad,

you‘re not going to be locked up too, are you?” Ruth was so anxious that she almost cried. “Let‘s go

back now. Just forget it.”

Uncle Clarence was already in jail. If her father suffered the same fate, the Willis family would

She looked at Jake. “Mr. Wilson, you wouldn‘t mind serving two more glasses of drinks,

right?”

Her voice immediately snapped Jake out of his daze. “Of... Of course, I don‘t mind. Please come

inside.”

Jake then led the three of them to the presidential suite. “Please wait for a moment.”

After he spoke, he served them three cups of coffee before he turned around and left.

“Mr. Wilson was quite nice.” Ruth took a sip of the coffee. “These are the finest hand–ground coffee

beans! If Winters Corporation really wanted to deal with the Willis family, they wouldn‘t have served us

such good coffee, right?” she said, feeling somewhat surprised.

Adeena nodded indifferently. “It doesn‘t look like they want to cause trouble.”

Kendry did not drink the coffee. “Either way, it won‘t be anything good. Just talk less later,” he said in a

low and deep voice. The three of them waited in the suite for about ten minutes before someone gently

knocked on the door.

Kendry immediately got up, and Ruth, as well as Adeena, followed suit. The three of them looked at the

door in unison.

Jake pushed the room door open and respectfully stood to the side. A tall and straight man then walked

out from behind him.

The man was dressed in a black suit. His sharp eyes, high nose, and thin lips beneath his short, black

hair gave off an intimidating aura.

Meanwhile, a dull, soft light shone on his golden cuffs under the chandelier.

It made the man look elegant and noble.

Adeena was stunned.

Why did she find this man incredibly familiar?

Although she always read the financial news, she was sure that she had never seen this man‘s picture

on the news.

Ruth felt her heart pound strongly.

Oh, God!

This man was freaking handsome!

She had initially thought that the CEO of Winters Corporation was an old man with a big belly, but he

was actually so good–looking! He was like a prince from a fairy tale, and she could not take her eyes

off him as a result. “Mr. Winters!” Kendry immediately stepped forward.

He had looked into Winters Corporation last night, so he knew that the company‘s CEO was a young

thirty–year–old man. He had found the young man to be very imposing upon seeing his picture. It was

not until he met Duke in person that he realized Duke was imposing and completely cold. Kendry

plucked up courage and introduced himself. “Hi, Mr. Winters. I‘m the COO of Willis Corporation. I‘m

Kendry Willis.” Duke reached out to gently shake hands with him. He glanced at Kendry and proceeded

to look at Adeena. At that instant, his extremely cold eyes were slowly filled with tenderness. Ruth

nearly ran out of breath.

This man was actually looking at her!

The only correct decision she had ever made in her life was to follow her father there! Ruth‘s hands

trembled as she walked over. “Hi, Mr. Winters. I‘m Ruth Willis, the daughter of the Willis family.”

“Mr. Willis, Ms. Willis, please leave the room.” Duke pinched his fingers indifferently. “I‘d like to talk to...

this Ms. Willis.” He stared at Adeena‘s face without fear.

If a gaze could be physical, Adeena would have felt this man touch her face. Ruth was stunned, but

she soon became enraged.

Adeena was a real sl*t! She even managed to attract the attention of Winters Corporation‘s CEO.

“Mr. Winters, she‘s just the Willis family‘s foster daughter. You can talk to me if there‘s anything to

discuss,” said Ruth, unwilling to leave. “Get out,” Duke replied coldly.

“Mr. Willis, Ms. Willis, please leave for a moment.” Jake walked over and respectfully invited the two of

them out. After that, he gently closed the room door.

Only two people were left in the room now.

Adeena remained calm as she asked, “Mr. Winters, what would you like to discuss with me?”

Her voice was smooth like a wind chime that struck Duke‘s heart from his eardrums.

The familiar voice had been lingering in his dreams thousands of times, and he finally heard it clearly in

person. Even though the maternity test result was not out, he was certain that this was Addy whom he

had been painstakingly searching for four years! He wanted to hold her in his arms. He wanted to touch

her face gently.

He wanted to kiss her lips deeply. He wanted to hug her at all costs and tell her that he had missed her

over the past four years.

But he could not! Before he understood Addy‘s condition, he could not make any rash decisions.

Therefore, he used such a roundabout method to attract Addy to come and see him. “I heard that

you‘re a pretty skilled hacker, Ms. Willis.” Duke sat down on the couch. “Winters Corporation is

currently facing a problem. I hope you can lend us a hand.” Adeena nodded with a straight face. “Sure.

Please take me to the computer room‘so that I can have a look, Mr. Winters.”
