Chapter 1006 “I‘ll remember!”

Adeline carried Grapie and placed her in the middle of their motorcycle. Grapie reluctantly looked at the

orphanage that she had lived in for two years. Once she grew up and had the means, she would give

every kid there a home.

......

Adeena parked her car in front of the company.

When she went inside, her assistant came forward. “Ms. Willis , the CEO‘s assistant from Winters

Corporation is here.”

Adeena nodded. Her assistant had called to tell her that Jake was visiting, so she had to leave the

orphanage.

She wondered if Grapie had been successfully adopted.

She got rid of the thought for the time being. After she calmly walked into her office and put down her

leather bag, she picked up a document and headed to the meeting room.

Jake had initially been sitting leisurely and drinking coffee. When he heard the sounds of high heels

approaching, he quickly stood up, lowered his head

slightly, and respectfully said, “Ms. Willis.”

His attitude did not make Adeena feel strange.

After all, Mr. Wilson had been even more respectful in Duke‘s suite yesterday. Adeena found it normal,

but the assistant beside her was completely petrified. Winters Corporation was a top transnational

group in the world. The CEO was the most admired existence wherever he went, while his special

assistant was just an assistant on the surface, but he was actually in charge of many decision–making

matters of this large group. It could be said that even the mayor of Cloud City also needed to be polite

when he met Mr. Wilson.

But when the assistant with such a noble status saw Ms. Willis, he actually lowered his head and

behaved extremely respectfully.

“Ms. Willis, I came over because I want to discuss a cooperation with your company.” Jake pushed a

document over. “This is the new AI development project. If you think it‘s okay, we can go further into

negotiations.” It was not until Adeena waved for her assistant to leave that she slowly said, “You‘re Mr.

Winters‘ assistant, and I‘m going to be his secretary. My status is not suitable to be a collaborator with

Winters Corporation, right?”

“Mr. Winters has glanced through the projects that you‘ve handled, and he admires your ability, so he

let me come and discuss the collaboration,” Jake said, “The final profit is divided 30/70.”

Adeena frowned.

If the dividend was divided based on this ratio, she could not earn much.

“You get 70, Winters Corporation gets 30,” Jake softly said. “Ms. Willis, if you think this isn‘t good

enough, Winters Corporation is still open to negotiation.”

Adeena wrapped her arms around her chest and looked at Jake in a relaxed manner.

Winters Corporation was the project initiator. No matter what, they should take the biggest profit, but

they were backing off to such a point.

She was increasingly convinced of her intuition that Mr. Winters was there for her.

He laid out the plan step by step to attract her to Sea City and force her to surrender.

But was she worth it?

Adeena‘s silent gaze made Jake feel a cold shiver down his spine.

Mr. Winters had asked him to secure this collaboration , and it did not matter how much profit they

needed to give

1. up. Why did he feel that it would be difficult to complete this mission?

It was mainly because Mdm. Winters was too smart. She must have noticed that something was

wrong...

“Um, Ms. Willis.” Jake cleared his throat and said, “I know that you must be puzzled about Mr. Winters‘

decision. I suggest that you agree with the collaboration, and you can personally ask Mr. Winters about

the details. I believe Mr. Winters is willing to answer any questions from you.”
