Chapter 457 Help Others Graciously

Guwong!

"Kyak!" A cultivator screamed as he rushed behind a boulder, feeling searing heat as a column of flames slammed into the boulder, turning it reddish as fumes were emitted from it. Holes formed on its surface as the minerals with lower boiling points vaporised first, creating large cracks through which the gases escaped from.

The boulder began to melt from the heat as the cultivator shivered in fear, "Shit! Shit! Shit! Why did I have to be such an idiot?"

He was hailed as a genius from childhood for his smarts and the ability to learn fighting techniques and other administrative details from his Clan. And when he awakened to an Earth Martial Spirit, his Clan rejoiced.

Because, a cultivator with an Earth Martial Spirit would be the future Clan/Sect Leader.

His Martial Spirit was called the Wind Martial Spirit. It allowed him to control the wind. And, he had been aiming for a suitable fire attributed fusion material that he could imbue in his wind to make it even more effective.

Typically, fire lacked any force. It was only capable of burning through things. But, when the wind was introduced into it, magic happened. Basically, if he practiced enough, he could pretty much create rocket engines.

The thrust unleashed by them was through a conjunction of wind and fire. It would allow his attacks to have both heat and force in them. And thanks to the fluid properties of wind, he would be a powerhouse even among those with Earth Martial Spirits.

To that end, he had been searching for a suitable fusion material. He already came across many Dolba that grew fire attributed fusion materials on their backs. But when he saw them, he didn't feel interested.

Intuitively, he felt that fusing with such materials wouldn't result in what he wished to obtain. After searching for a few hours in such a fashion, using his wind to evade the attacks from the Dolbas that he encountered, he finally chanced upon the perfect fusion material.

But here came the problem. The Dolba was at the First Layer of the Martial Providence Stage. Despite that, he knew that this was it, his perfect fusion material. And hence, he tried to sever the fusion material from its back and escape with it.

He tried to, but before he could actually attempt the action, the Dolba sensed him. This was due to the Dolba possessing an innate danger sense. When their life was endangered, they would sense it.

And with that, it attacked him, leading to the current situation.

Bang!

Suddenly, there was a resounding thud as he was shocked to see the flames had disappeared. He hurriedly got up in surprise after smelling the scent of blood, noticing the Dolba lying on the ground, its head severed.

And, standing next to it was Compass Carburettor. Upon seeing him, the cultivator said in surprise, "Doctor Hazen?"

"Yep, that's me." Compass Carburettor nodded with a smile before pointing at the slain Dolba, "Hurry and extract your fusion material. I'll help guard you during your fusion."

"You'll really do that for me?" The cultivator asked in surprise. He didn't even doubt the other party's motive. After all, considering how he had slain the Martial Providence Stage Dolba in one hit, if he so wished, Compass Carburettor could kill him any moment.

There was no need for any deception.

Origin Art—Mind Transfer!

Compass Carburettor finished transferring the mind of the Dolba into the stomach of the Mind Frog, smiling as he replied, "Yep, it's fine. I've already finished my fusion, so I'm just going around helping others with the same. Might as well put the lot of you into my debt since I have the opportunity."

"Hahaha," The cultivator laughed wryly, already aware of Hazen's nature from what he saw in the Essence Derby Palace. So, he accepted it, extracting the fusion material as he said, "I'll do it here. Please watch over me."

"Sure." Compass Carburettor nodded, watching the cultivator condense an ethereal swirl on his hands that seemed like wind, causing it to gently come into contact with the fusion material.

Slowly, the wind fused into the fiery fusion material, obtaining the properties while turning physical.

While he was fusing with the material, Compass Carburettor was going through the cultivator's memories, observing his thoughts, 'I see, so he wants to fuse the two for attack, defence, and evasion purposes. That means, going through the thrust route would be perfect for him.'

The cultivator already had an image in mind for the design his Martial Spirit would turn into once physically manifested. But, it wasn't as efficient, so Compass Carburettor took it upon himself to improve the design, creating what resembled a rocket.

The wind and fire would mix to unleash powerful thrust through the nozzle portion while the cultivator could hold or sit on the shaft portion to fly away. As he could vary its size, it could be used for a variety of cases.

He could summon it like a stick that could be held in his hand to unleash a burst of flames with enough force to shatter a massive boulder.

Once Compass Carburettor refined the idea, he input it into the cultivator's mind, making it seem like he had an epiphany, modifying the shape that he was creating, eventually resulting in the shape Compass Carburettor had intended.

'Now, he's even stronger.' Compass Carburettor smiled, for this was his goal. As the cultivator was already a Sleeper Cell, he wished to strengthen him further. That way, he would prove useful in future fights against System Hosts.

"Thank you, Doctor Hazen. I'll repay you in the future." Once he finished the fusion process, the cultivator bowed toward him.

"It's fine." Compass Carburettor waved his hand, beginning to walk away, "Just become a great leader and increase the number of cultivators. We'll need as many talents as we can get to fight against the Evil Spirits. You've seen what they are capable of."

"Even though two have been killed, there are two more on this island itself." He then gazed at the cultivator, "I won't ask you to risk your life. But if you can, help the others obtain the best fusion material for their Martial Spirits."
