Yvonne rushed over to Darrell and started grappling with him.

On the stage was a scene of utter confusion, and the guests down below were exchanging urgent whispers.

Scarlett was standing among the crowd. Her lips curved in a thin smile as she watched Yvonne pulling at Darrell's clothes frantically on the stage.

She thought, "You like to play dirty, huh? Now you got your just desserts." None of the invited guests could have foreseen that the grand birthday party would be reduced to a massive scene of mutual recriminations.

Scarlett glanced at Raymond who was standing before her. "Shall we go back?" There was nothing else worth looking at. Having seen Yvonne lapse into such despair, Scarlett felt that she had gotten what she chere for tonight.

Raymond nodded and the two of them turned around and left.

That night, almost everybody in the circle was sharing and talking about the videos of Yvonne having sex with different men which had been played on the large screen at Jasper's birthday party.

In fact, people knew it was normal for an adult woman to have sexual needs. This was no longer a feudal society.

Moreover, Yvonne had been cultivating a public image of being meek and docile over the years, and Darrell had never gotten mixed up in any scandals. In a word, the two of them had struck people as a good match in every way.

But in the video which was merely about two minutes long, Yvonne had sex with seven or eight men, which showed how sexually promiscuous she was.

There were many honored guests present, and the hall was packed, which made it impossible for the Sheridans to hush it up. Eventually things got out of control and the incident caused a sensation on the Internet.

The video of Yvonne cursing and hitting Darrell on the stage instantly went viral online. Unsurprisingly, a fabricated statement of Yvonne, "I slept with many men, but | never dated any" becone of the most quoted sarcastic remarks on the Internet.

The Sheridans had thought that the worst part was behind them, but unexpectedly, the next morning they woke up to find that Emma's true identity had been revealed.

Immediately afterward, when the office hours began at 9 a m., the Lancelots directly made a unilateral decision to call off the engagement.

Jason called Darrell in an attempt to talk him out of it, but the latter only said, "I fear that if | marry her, our future children, though bearing my family name, might not be my blood." Clearly, he was sarcastically insinuating Yvonne's promiscuous lifestyle.

Soon news of Darrell annulling his engagement to Yvonne spread throughout the circle. All those things had happened within merely eighteen hours. The Sheridans, blindsided by the spate of blows, were convinced that someone was working against them.

However, when the Sheridans caught on to it, it was already too late. The die was cast. The prestige of the Sheridan family took a nosedive due to the incident.

Someone dug up dirt on the Sheridans. The latter shut their doors, refusing to receive visitors.

Soon the Sheridan family, unable to withstand the pressure from the public, sent Yvonne and Emma overseas.

But this taround the two of them were really sent to another country. It could be said that Yvonne's reputation in Juanton City had been completely ruined. If she stayed in Juanton City, for a long tpeople would point fingers at her when spotting her on the street Scarlett was uninterested in news about Yvonne going abroad to seek refuge. What interested her was the upcoming reunion of her college classmates.

In fact, there had hardly been any bonding between her and her classmates during her college years, for she had always left the campus immediately after class, and she had never participated in any group activities with her classmates.

But Scarlett had thought of something after hearing Mrs. Tucker's words the other day. She suspected that Jane had something to do with the reason why Darnell had found out Linley was the one who divulged the secret.

On the staircase to her left was a large banner bearing the words "Reunion of the Class of 'll of Finance Celebrating the 5th Anniversary of Our Graduation." Scarlett raised her brows, walked up the stairs to the second floor and saw a sign on the landing. She turned left as the sign suggested and, before reaching the small banquet hall, heard the uproar emanating from inside.
